Everyone is awesome. I am amazed at God’s hand in all of this. He has truly blessed my family with people who care about us and are praying for us. You have no idea how much it means to us. We love you all very much.
We have faith that God is in charge here and requires only our patience and ability to lean on Him through this. We have no doubts about His ability to pull us though.
Please know it is hard to answer email ( I have not looked at mine) and sometimes we are too tired or busy to return very many calls and text. We try when we have time. Please know we appreciate it all so much more than I can explain. All those who have offered help: I promise we will take you up on it if we need to.
I promise pictures soon. Seriously, though, brace yourselves, this kid is precious!
Micah and I have been thinking about you and praying for you and your family these last few days, and lots of folks in Minnesota have you on their prayer lists. I was just reading some of the biblical story of Gideon–your little guy shares a name with one tough customer! I was particularly struck by this line: “When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, ‘The LORD is with you, mighty warrior.’” May you continue to take comfort in your faith, family, and friends.
My prayers are with you. I have asked all the prayer warriors at my church to pray for all of you, especially Gideon. My God continue to give you comfort and peace in this situation.
Add me to the list of people who will help with anything you need. When Rowan was born, we had so much help. I want to pay it forward.

Kevin and I have been praying for y’all – as have practically everyone at church. Not sure if you had heard, but Rick included y’all in a prayer during the service last Sunday.
We’re glad you’re updating this site, as I know everyone in our Sunday School class has been looking for updates – we had a phone chain going. Definitely let us know if there’s anything we can do, or if you just want some company and a hug.
